Another Success at the International Trade Club Breakfast

Event Date: 03 October 2019

‘We joined the International Trade Club over two years ago now and the support and information received so far has been invaluable.  The breakfast club is an opportunity to meet and learn from likeminded people about their inspirational stories and experiences in areas we often fear to tread.   Even as a complete novice you are guaranteed a warm welcome and the very best of advice’

Deborah Smith, Fennel UK Ltd

Another successful international trade club breakfast meeting concluded Thursday 3rd October with our members joining us at the Mecure Dunkenhalgh hotel in Accrington.

The International Trade Club Breakfast Meeting is organised by the International Business Team at East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to give companies access to support and guidance to import and export out of the UK. The International Trade Club is proudly sponsored by local accountants Baldwin’s and legal partners Forbes Solicitors

Over 50 attendees received key information from our specially picked speakers who gave them insight to working with united nations, dangerous goods and an update on Brexit direct from Westminster.

Jonathan Berry from Fjelltopp explained how they became to trading with United Nations on behalf of software engineers across Europe and challenges he has faced. Jonathan and his team are also winners of the International Trade Club awards 2018.

Nicholas Mohr from Peter East Associates presented “Dangerous Goods – Forgotten in Logistics”, providing essential updates and highlighting the key factors within the dangerous goods trading business.

Mike Spicer from the British Chamber of Commerce gave his insights on Brexit developments direct from Westminster and advised businesses on how to prepare for Brexit.
