International Trade Club - Brilliant Breakfast

Event Date: 05 November 2015

The event offered new and experienced traders, the chance to expand and update their knowledge, benefit from a wide range of informative presentations and enjoy a fabulous breakfast.

Delegates received valuable information and advice given by Steve Cowles, Michael Hill and Alistair Eagles.

Steve Cowles gave in depth knowledge on what the government can do to support UK Exporters by advising on how to finance their exports and minimise risk.

The presentation by Michael was well received and raised numerous questions and thoughtfulness from the audience. He shared Optima Control Solutions experiences of winning and financing their 2.2 million pound deal with their South Korean customer and how they managed their very complex order.

Alistair Eagles of Seatruck Ferries outlined the strategic importance of Heysham Port and the regions ambitious plans, including the new M6 link road which the Prime Minister David Cameron has described as a “game changer”’ to enhance and facilitate trade between the UK and Ireland. He also went into detail about how his company is able to finance and access money in the manufacturing and exporting of products.
