International Trade Club - Brilliant Breakfast

Event Date: 24 September 2015

The event offered new and experienced traders, the chance to expand and update their knowledge, benefit from a wide range of informative presentations and enjoy a fabulous breakfast.

Delegates received valuuble information and advice given by Susan Acland Hood, Stef Heywood and Helen Cowley.

The presentation by Susan was well received and raised numerous questions and thoughtfulness from the audience. It is important for our Chamber to continue the flow of questions and concerns from our small and medium businesses direct in to HM Treasury to help shape the impending spending review and future policy of international trade.

To recap – Susan’s last slide stated ‘We need help to deliver the plan, and go further’

• Do you agree with what we’re doing? What should we do next?
• What can businesses do to raise productivity, and how can government help? This is what the Mayfield Review is looking at.
• What do you think of our work on decentralisation and rebalancing?
• What’s your assessment of UKTI and UK Export Finance? How can we do better?

We need to hear your views and key issues; please send to for a direct link into Government.

The next club meeting is 5th November 2015, and details will follow shortly.

Tickets are now available for the International Trade Awards Gala Luncheon on the 4th December 2015. This prestigious event promises to be very special with prizes and surprises, an opportunity for members, their colleagues and friends to relax and enjoy letting us entertain you!!!.
