Final call for East Lancashire companies to compete for the Queens Award for Enterprise in 2013: Closing Date 28 September 2012.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are highly prestigious awards for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of Innovation, International Trade and Sustainable Development. To enter for one of these awards, click here to download the entry guidelines.Specialist manufacturing company BMP Europe started this process at the beginning of in 2011, and will soon be proud recipients of their Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade, an honour bestowed by HM The Queen, and only given for the highest levels of excellence. BMP Europe are to be officially presented with their Queen’s Award for Enterprise on Friday 12 October 2012, by the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, The Lord Shuttleworth.

BMP Europe have achieved the award through continual investment in the development of materials and manufacturing processes to meet ever increasing demands of customers. This strategy has proved successful, with BMP securing substantial export business in the Domestic Appliance, Baggage Handling and Ceramic Processing markets.  BMP has also developed a range of Sub-Sea Power Cable Protection products for the growing offshore renewable energy market and re-manufacturing solution for the digital printing industry, turning environmental responsibility into sound business practice.

A number of East Lancashire Chamber members were also recognised for their outstanding contributions and these included ACDC Lighting Ltd,Colonial Gifts LtdHurst Green Plastics Ltd as well as Langtec Ltd.
