Chamber Finance -In partnership with the Royal Bank of Scotland and Natwest

Businesses in the UK often say that they cannot access finance easily and that they find it difficult to speak with their banks when they need to.

The British Chambers of Commerce, in partnership with their commercial banking partners RBS, and through the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce have launched Chamber Invoice Finance in response to the needs expressed by many of our members for greater access to banking expertise and finance.

Nigel Mills – Director Strategic Markets of RBS will highlight the benefits of Chamber Invoice Finance and feature case studies where other finance companies have withdrawn their finance, reduced the
insurance or withdrawn credit Terms altogether.

A recent UKTI study identified Libya as "potentially the fourth most attractive overseas market for UK exports by  2012-2014" and details of where British expertise is required and, indeed, looked for, will be revealed in this International Trade Club event.

Libya has seen the volume of British exports grow each year  in 2009 alone, there was a 51 per cent increase. With plans to open up the financial sector to foreign participation as part of a strategy to make Tripoli an international financial hub for the region

Doing business in Libya looks set to become much easier in the near future especially for British companies. Times are changing, but Libya can be a challenging business environment – persistence, patience and optimism are the keys to doing business successful still. Ed Murphy will give an insight on how to do business in this strong, emerging market.
