Sri Lanka removed from the permitted destinations and added to the excluded destinations on a number of Open General Licences

1. The Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has amended a number of Open General Licences to exclude Sri Lanka. This follows a review of Open General Licences in light of the Government’s continuing concerns over the situation in Sri Lanka. The amended licences will enter into force on 15th January 2010.
